Dr. Jason A. Brown

Dr. Brown is a 2011 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He graduated with a special interest and emphasis in preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry for adults and children ages 6 months and older. With the most current and leading edge dental knowledge, Dr. Brown is eager to help you attain your most beautiful smile.

Dr. Brown is also a Deans’ List graduate of Iowa State University where he played 4 years of varsity ice hockey, which involved traveling extensively throughout the world. He was a member of the National Honor Society throughout high school and college, as part of his academic achievements. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, and the Des Moines District Dental Society. He has attended numerous continuing education courses pertaining to esthetic dentistry, including composite bonding and veneers, to achieve long-term success. Dr. Brown’s gentle nature and innate passion for dentistry has been proven successful in countless patients throughout his career.

Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife, son, and their two dogs. He also enjoys biking, hockey, softball, and living an active, healthy lifestyle. Dr. Aaron Jones

Dr. Aaron Jones

Dr. Aaron Jones was born in Baltimore, MD, and raised in Iowa City, IA. Dr. Jones decided he would like to become a dentist after he completed orthodontic treatment. It gave him such self-confidence that he wanted to help others feel the same way. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and later obtained his DDS from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry.

In 2007, Dr. Jones served a mission for his church for two years in the American Southwest where he became fluent in Spanish. After his mission, he married his wife and they now have 3 children. In his free time, he enjoys working outside, playing with his children, home projects, and finding ways to help others.

Meet your Office Team

Karla Waltman, Office Manager

Karla is our wonderful Office Administrator with over 30 years of dental experience. She will greet you as you come in, get to know you, help you with appointments that are convenient for your schedule. Karla will also take care of filing dental insurance and paperwork for you. She has attended Chicago seminars on dental plans and will help you with financing options. Karla enjoys attending spending time with her family, gardening, and spending time with friends. Karla is a talented and warm person who is a joy to know. She will do everything she can to make sure your appointments are comfortable and convenient.

Mary Salow, Front Office Coordinator

Mary is our front office assistant. You may see her up front helping you on the phone or checking you in. She also takes care of posting insurance to patient accounts. Mary has a warm smile for everyone to make your visit more relaxing. Mary has a love for animals, and she has two dogs.

Stacey Young Long, Front Office Coordinator

Stacey has 5 years experience as a patient administrator and front office staff in a dental practice. She enjoys working with people and strives to offer the best customer service. She likes helping people gain knowledge of their dental plans and working towards a healthy smile. Stacey enjoys getting to know the patients and building relationships. She will help you through treatment plans so you can have a healthy smile. In her free time, she spends time with her husband riding bikes. They often do Ragbra. She loves warm weather so she can garden. Stacey has a large perennial garden with a collection of over 50 daylilies. She also has a vegetable garden and has fun making salsa and pickles every year.

Sarah Freml, Dental Hygienist

Sarah is a busy mother and a fantastic dental hygienist, gentle, thorough and so nice to visit with. She is originally from Chicago. Sarah has simple and effective tips for your very best smile care. Sarah has a special interest in dental care for older adults. She can help you sort through the maze of products and recommend the best ones for you. Her goal is to keep your smile healthy, comfortable and bright for a lifetime

Heather Davis, Dental Hygienist

Heather presented a dental hygiene Table Clinic at the Iowa Dental Association annual meeting. She enjoys getting to know our patients. You will love her upbeat nature and gentle care. Heather keeps busy with her son Landen, daughter Raegan, and craft projects.

Liz Knobbe, Dental Hygienist

Liz became went into dentistry to change smiles and help patients live healthier lives every day! She studied Dental Hygiene at Des Moines Area Community College and is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association. She prides herself on offering patients the highest quality oral health care available while giving treatments in a caring and efficient way. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, seeing live music, and going on weekend getaways.

 

 

Meet your Dental Assistants

Whitney Schuler, Dental Assistant

Whitney graduated from the dental assisting program at Des Moines Area Community College in 2012. She is a registered dental assistant with expanded functions. She went into the dental field because she loved going to the dentist as a child and enjoys helping people. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. They enjoy being outdoors, golfing, and going to sporting events. They are big Chicago Cubs and Bears fans.

Beverly Steinmeyer, Dental Assistant

Bev has always found dentistry to be interesting and became a Dental Assistant because she loves to learn and help educate others. She studied Dental Assisting with Expanded Functions at Marshall Community College. She is committed to quality care and dentistry based on trust and respect with her patients. It is very important to her that patients are treated with understanding and empathy. Outside of work, she enjoys barrel racing with her two horses and caring for her acreage.
